    DAY 2
    KYRENIA Highlights of Kyrenia
    After having breakfast at the hotel, we will start the day with a visit to the medieval St Hilarion Castle with stunning panorama views of the town and the Mediterranean Sea. With walls and towers that appear to sprout out of the rocks almost randomly, it is a fairly-tale castle rumoured to be used by Walt Disney as inspiration for the castle in ‘’Snow White and Seven Dwarfs’’. The highest point is about 730m above sea level and the view is marvellous. Then we will travel to the 13th-century Bellapais Monastery, regarded as a masterpiece of Gothic art in Cyprus. After visiting the monastery, we will take our lunch in a traditional Cypriot Restaurant. Then, we will travel towards Kyrenia town centre to visit the impressing Kyrenia Castle and its famous shipwreck museum where displays 2,300-year-old trading vessel. Kyrenia Castle lies at the north east of Kyrenia dominating the entry of the old harbour, is the best preserved castle on the island. Thereafter, we will have a nice stroll around the picturesque Kyrenia Harbour, where one can breathe the history of the city and enjoy the harbours relaxing atmosphere. After tour we will transfer back to hotel in Kyrenia.

    DAY 3
    FAMAGUSTA Cultural Day
    After having breakfast at the hotel we will spend the day visiting important sights around Famagusta, ruins of Salamis, an ancient Roman city, the Monastery of Saint Barnabas (archaeological and icon museum) and the Famagusta walled city, including the 14th century gothic cathedral St Nicholas Church (Nowadays known as Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque), Venetian Palace (Palazzo del Proveditore), Othello Castle and the Ravelin Gate. The lunch will be at the local restaurant and then we will head towards Varosha, the ghost town. After the tour we will transfer back to the hotel in Kyrenia.

    DAY 4
    KARPAZ Peninsula
    Driving along the northern coastal road, our first stop will be at the Byzantine church of Panagia Pergaminiotissa. The church is a renovated 12th century building that hosts a nature exhibition whereas the beautiful garden is used for displaying miniature versions of the most important Cyprus buildings like the gothic style cathedral in Nicosia. Continuing our drive to the far end of the peninsula we have a coffee break at Dipkarpaz village (Rizzokarpazzo) towards the tip of the Karpaz peninsula. There the wild donkeys will look forward to chew the apples or carrots you feed them. We will visit the newly renovated monastery church of St. Andrews (Apostolos Andreas) and learn about the foundation of the Orthodox pilgrimage site. Thereafter, a photo break at the Golden Beach . From there we'll depart for lunch to Oasis at Ayfilon Restaurant. From here we will head back to Kyrenia.

    DAY 6
    WEST COAST Region
    The unspoiled west coast of Northern Cyprus is a region covered with green meadows, beautiful citrus gardens and small traditional towns that offers its visitors a combination of nature, history, peace and calm and a taste of local life. In the morning we will drive towards west and enjoy the view and smell of miles long citrus and orange groves of the region along the way. Our first stop is the 18th century St. Mamas Church and the Icon Museum in Güzelyurt (Morphou), the best kept of all orthodox churches in North Cyprus. Afterwards, we will visit the nearby Nature Museum where animal species unique to Cyprus are exhibited and The Archaeological Museum with its newest discoveries such as ''The Golden Leaves of Soli''. From there we will continue to remains of the Ancient City of Soli. Soli is one of the ancient kingdoms of Cyprus which dates back to 6th century BC. Current excavation site offers a view of a Roman theatre, the Christian Basilica with impressively preserved mosaics that dates back to 4th century and the agora. The famous Swan mosaic in the Basilica is known as the symbol of Soli. Thereafter we'll taste local delicacies at a local restaurant. After lunch we will drive towards further west to visit the remains of Vouni Palace. It is the only Persian palace known in Cyprus, which was in use during the 5th and 4th century BC. With a location on top of a hill at 250 m above the sea level the Palace offers a magnificent view of the Morphou Bay and Troodos mountains. From there we will explore town of Lefke, a member of Cittaslow town family. In this little town at the edge of the west coast one can observe the traditional Cypriot life style that still dominates inhabitants daily routine, see the old Ottoman period aqueducts and visit the second biggest dam in Northern Cyprus.

    DAY 7
    KANTARA CASTLE & BUYUKKONUK (Komi Kebir)
    Driving along the northern coastal road, our first stop will be at the Kantara Castle. This ancient castle stands at the east of the Kyrenia Mountain range and was build to complete the protective axis of the Island’s north, alongside St. Hilarion and Bufavento Castles. The settings of the castle will take you to the medieval Cyprus, whereas, the scenery from the top which offers a view of both southern and northern coast will take your breath away. Thereafter, continue to the village of Büyükkonuk/Komi Kemir in North Cyprus lies in the lowland foothills of the Beşparmak Kyrenia mountain range. There you'll observe the way locals live in a traditional Cypriot village where residents have been working together to preserve local culture and heritage and meet with some local people to learn traditional bread and cheese making skills, including a cheeky tasting afterwards.

    DAY 8
    NICOSIA A walk through the last divided capital of Europe
    After having breakfast at the hotel, we will take a walking tour of the Walled City of North Nicosia. We will first visit the Selimiye Mosque, historically known as Cathedral of Saint Sophia, Arasta quarter and the Green Line. From there we will visit Büyük Han (The Great Inn), one of the most important architectural heritage of the Ottoman period. After having lunch in a local restaurant we will continue visiting other monuments of the walled city including the Venetian Column, Samanbahçe houses and the Kyrenia Gate. After the tour we will transfer to the airport/meeting poinrt. End of our services.

    Hiking Tour in Northern Cyprus

    DAY 1
    FLIGHT TO LARNACA (LCA) OR ERCAN (ECN) AIRPORT – TRANSFER TO KORMACIT VILLAGE
    Our professional guide welcomes you at ERCAN / LARNACA Airport.In the Kormacit village, we are welcomed with a light dinner: cheese, bread and wine. Afterwards we check in for the first night in the Kormacit Village Houses. Kormacit is the last village of the Maronite catholic community in Cyprus. The Maronites came with the crusaders in the middle ages and stayed on the island until today.

    DAY 2
    VILLAGE LIFE (WITH ARAMAIC HOLY MASS)AND SOLI ROUND WALK 8,5KM
    In the early morning we have the exclusive chance to take part of a holy mass in Aramaic, the language of Jesus in the Holy Land! After breakfast we head for Soli.On the way south we visit an orange orchard near Güzelyurt, the centreof citrus fruit cultivation in Northern Cyprus. InSoliwe visit the ruins of the ancient Byzantine church of Saint Auxibius and the Greek theatre. Directly from the entrance of the excavations we start our first walk, a round trip in the foothills of the TroodosMountains. On our walk up to the Ecovillage of Bağlıköy, where we will also have our lunch snack, we enjoy the marvellous views over the green mountains and the azure blue Mediterranean Sea. The day ends with preparing our Dinner next to Ema´s mud brick oven. The Maronite women will explain about the techniques of baking bread, making Halloumi cheese and Carob cake

    DAY 3
    CAPE KORMAKITIS – KORMACIT WALK 16KM (11KM)
    Today’s walk is the western startingsection of the “Beşparmak Trail”. This trail has a total length of 260km from Cape Kormakitisto Cape Zafer, the eastern tip of the Karpaz peninsula. After a 10 minutes transfer we start our walkat the Cape Kormakitis on sea level, pass the village of Sadrazamköy (which is the alternative starting point for the shorter walk) and the Chapel of St. George on the shore. From here we climb steadily higher and higher on the Kayalar cliffs to enjoy spectacular views. The endpoint of this walk is our village Kormacit.
    Difficulty level: moderate/difficult
    Lunch: self-prepared sandwiches with Maronite bread and cheese
    Dinner: Dinner

    DAY 4
    KORMACIT – NICOSIA NORTH AND KYRENIA / BELLAPAIS
    After visiting the Ethnographical Museumin Kormacit, we leave the village and drive to Nicosia, the last divided capital of Europe. On a walking city tour we visit the gothic style Selimiye mosque, the Büyük Han (Great Inn, where we take our lunch), Bedestan and the Check point Lokmaci. Then we drive to Kyrenia (Girne). We visit the Bellapais Monastery, one of the most beautiful gothic style buildings from Lusignan period in Cyprus, the Venetian harbourand the impressive Kyrenia Castle with its Ship Wreck Museum.
    Lunch: Lunch in Büyük Han or Rüstem Kitabevi in Nicosia
    Dinner: Kyrenia Restaurant

    DAY 5
    WEDNESDAY MARKET AND KARMI – SAINT HILARION CASTLE ROUND WALK 9,5km
                            
    Wednesday is the day of the Weekly Market in Kyrenia. The market is a colourful mixture of fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade products from local farmers and a lot more. We are buying our lunchboxes there and drive to Karmi, to start our round walk to Saint Hilarion Castle. Overlooking Kyrenia, Saint Hilarion Castle is one of the 3 crusader castles in the Beşparmak Mountain range. A moderate to difficult walk with rewarding views!
    Difficulty level: moderate/difficult
    Lunch: Lunchbox from Wednesday market (or Bitaci Bakery in Kyrenia if not on Wednesday)
    Dinner: Kyrenia Restaurant
    Overnight: Kyrenia: Dome Hotel or similar 
     
     
    DAY 6 
    KARPAZ TOUR TO THE GOLDEN BEACH – ANTIFONITS WALK 4KM
    Today we start with a photo break at the Five Finger Rock (in Turkish: Beşparmak) and the Kyrenia Rock viewpoint. After a short visit of the Herbarium in Alevkaya we enjoy an easy walk to the Monastery of Antifonitis. Antifonitis (alt. Antiphonitis) is famous for the colourful frescos dating back to the 12th and 15th centuries. After a picnic in the garden of the monastery we drive heading east towards Karpaz peninsula. In the village of Büyükkonuk we visit a traditional workshop that produces handmade goods from barley straw and reed. Here you have the chance to produce your unique souvenir with your name on it! From Büyükkonuk we drive directly to the Golden Beach, to end the day with jumping in the clear waters of the Mediterranean. Check-in at Tekos Golden Hill at the Dipkarpaz Village.

    DAY 7 
    ROUND WALK IN KARPAZ 12KM
    We start our walk after a morning swim in the crystal clear waters of the Golden Beach to the very tip of the peninsula. On our walk we visit the Apostolos Andreas Monastery, well known amongst Cypriot and Orthodox Christians for its Holy Fountain. This water is said to be a remedy for eye and skin diseases! We continue our walk to Cape Zafer, which is also the eastern end point of the Beşparmak Trail! Walking back along the north coast we see remains of an ancient irrigationsystem that shows how important and rich Karpaz peninsula had been in the past.

    Dinner: Dinner Tekos Golden Hill

    DAY 8 
    TRANSFER TO LARNACA (LCA) OR ERCAN (ECN) AIRPORT - DEPARTURE

    KANTARA CASTLE + KARPAZ PENINSULA TOUR
    Breakfast at the hotel. A trip to the Karpaz Peninsula. The tour starts at 09:00 from your hotel at Kyrenia. From there the lingering coastal road will take you in less than an hour to the Minia Cyprus Exhibition next to the church of Panagia Pergamonitissia in Tatlisu. The church is a renovated 12th century building that hosts a nature exhibition whereas the beautiful garden is used for displaying miniature versions of the historic buildings of Cyprus such as the gothic style cathedral of Nicosia. Your next stop will be the Kantara Castle. The ancient castle stands at the east of the Kyrenia Mountain range and was build to complete the protective axis of the Island’s north, alongside St. Hilarion and Bufavento Castles. The settings of the castle will take you to the medivial Cyprus, whereas, the scenery from the top which offers a view of both southern and northern coast will take your breath away. Thereafter, you will enjoy a traditional lunch, rest and observe the way locals live at Büyükkonuk Eco-village. After lunch, the road will take you through the village of Dipkarpaz (Rizzokarpazzo) towards the tip of the Karpaz peninsula.There the wild donkeys will look forward to chew the apples or carrots you feed them.     DAY 4
    FAMAGUSTA REGION + NORTH NICOSIA TOUR
    Breakfast at the hotel. A trip to Famagusta. At first a visit to the Monastery of Saint Barnabas (archaeological and icon museum). Thereafter, visit of the Ancient City of Salamis (Roman Baths, Gymnasium and the Theatre). Then drive to the Old Town of walled-city Famagusta, there will visit; St Nicholas Cathedral (now Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque), Venetian Palace and Othello Castle. Afternoon, drive to the North part of Nicosia. Visit to Kyrenia Gate, Venetian Column, Samanbahçe Quarter, St. Sophia Cathedral (now Selimiye Mosque), The Great Inn (Büyük Han). In the evening, return to Kyrenia. Dinner and overnight at Dome Hotel or similar in Kyrenia.
     
     
    DAY 5
    BOAT TRIP
    We'll take to the water to explore the North Cyprus coastline in our traditional wooden boat. Relax with a gentle swim, a delicious Mediterranean lunch onboard, and a snooze in the sun. Or, get the adrenaline pumping with optional, exciting watersports.Lunch will be taken on board. Return to the hotel after boat tour. Dinner and overnight at Dome Hotel or similar in Kyrenia.
     
     
    DAY 6 
    KYRENIA - SOUTH NICOSIA - LIMASSOL
    Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Nicosia. Visit of Famagusta Gate and “LaikiGeitonia. Thereafter, visit of Nicosia  Archaeological museum. Then drive to Limassol. Visit of Kourion, Greco-Roman amphitheater, House of Eustolios, the House of Achilles and the House of the Gladiators. Then visit  to the Castle of Limassol, old town.  Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Limassol.
     
     
    DAY 7
    LIMASSOL - PAPHOS -  LIMASSOL
    Breakfast at the hotel. Photo stop at Aphrodite’s rock. Trip to Paphos with fascinating mosaics to visit, situated in four main houses: the House of Aion, House of Dionysos, House of Orpheus and House of Theseus,visit the famous Tombs of the Kings. Return to Limassol. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Limassol.
     
     
    DAY 8 
    LIMASSOL -  TROODOS MOUNTAINS - LIMASSOL 
    Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Omodos village situated in the Troodos Mountain. Visit the Folk Art MuseumTimios Stavros Monastery with wine press call “Linos”. We will stop in traditional cellar and taste the local wines. Visit a local bakery, taste the famous “Arkatena” bread! Lunch will be in Omodos. Coffee Break at Platres Café Restaurant-Bar. Monastery of Agios Ioannis Lampadistis, Kalopanagiotis village. Afterwards return to Limassol. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Limassol.
     
     
    DAY 9
    LIMASSOL - LARNAKA - LIMASSOL   
    Breakfast at the hotel. Day of Lefkara and Larnaca before departure. Larnaca: ruins of Kition, the cathedral of St. Lazarus, stop at Tekke Mosque of Hala Sultan, village of Kiti, which hosts the church of Angeloktistos. Visit of Lefkara village celebrated for its magnificent lace making.  In the afternoon, return to Limassol. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Limassol.
     
     
    DAY 10
    LARNACA AND DEPARTURE
    Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out from the hotel. Transfer  to Larnaca Aiport (LCA). End of our services.
